FRANKLIN, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 31, 2017--
Community Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CYH) announced today that
subsidiaries of the Company have completed the sale of two Washington
hospitals, 214-bed Yakima Regional Medical & Cardiac Center in Yakima
and 63-bed Toppenish Community Hospital in Toppenish, to Regional
Health. The effective date of the transaction is September 1, 2017.
The two hospitals included in this transaction are part of the 30
planned hospital divestitures discussed on the Company’s second quarter
2017 earnings call.
